A Rundown of All Kobe Bryant's Nike Sneakers Releasing This Year

No fan base has ever had to be more patient than the loyal legion of Kobe Bryant followers. Bryant's iconic signature sneaker line with Nike remained in limbo for much of the past three years following his tragic passing in January 2020.

Nike has consistently introduced shoes from Bryant's line in restricted quantities, resulting in swift sellouts and further disappointment for his followers. Nonetheless, there is now a glimmer of hope as Nike's President & CEO, John Donahoe, announced the company's intention to reintroduce the Kobe Brand during the upcoming summer.

Below is a continuously updated list of every Nike Kobe sneaker scheduled to release from 2023-2024. We hope every fan and hooper get the shoes they want. More importantly, we hope they embody all of the Los Angeles Lakers legend's ethos when wearing the shoes.

Kobe 8 Protro 'White'

Kobe Bryant was initially reluctant to release his retro basketball shoes. However, Bryant was swayed when Nike agreed to add performance upgrades (and the Protro line was born). Bryant's first, fourth, fifth, and sixth signature shoes were released, but this will be the first time the Nike Kobe 8 receives Protro treatment.

The Nike Kobe 8 Protro 'Triple White' is scheduled to release on Thursday the 24th of August. The icy-white hoop shoes will release in full-family sizing and will set you back around £140.

Kobe 6 Protro 'Reverse Grinch'

The Nike Kobe 6 'Grinch' is the most iconic sneaker from Bryant's vast collection. However, Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis debuted a 'Reverse Grinch' colourways during the 2022-23 NBA season, which will hit shelves later this year.

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro 'Reverse Grinch' is scheduled to release on Saturday the 16th of December.

Kobe 4 Protro 'Black & Gold'

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro had a nice run in 2019, but the model is back again. The heartfelt 'Gigi' colourway dropped in limited quantities in May, and the company isn't done yet. Nike must be in a generous mood this holiday season, as the company will release a second Kobe sneaker in less than two weeks.

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro 'Black & Gold' is scheduled to release on Tuesday the 26th of December.

Kobe 8 Protro 'Emerald'

The second and third instalments of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will release on the same day. While the colourways are slightly underwhelming, we will never complain about any Nike Kobe release.

The Nike Kobe 8 Protro 'Radiant Emerald' is scheduled to launch on Thursday the 8th of February 2024.

Kobe 8 Protro 'Purple'

The Nike Kobe 8 Protro 'Court Purple' will release on Thursday the 8th of February 2024. The shoes will cost around £149 in adult sizes and will likely drop alongside its 'Radiant Emerald' counterpart online and in select stores.

This is not a player-exclusive or OG colourway. In fact, it is probably closer to an old-school team bank colourway. But the white and purple design definitely resembles the Los Angeles Lakers colour scheme.
