New Balance's Warped Runner Blends Innovation and Style, Evoking Yeezy Vibes

Renowned for its adeptness at revitalizing classic and archival models, New Balance has now taken a bold step forward with a curvaceous silhouette that challenges norms and propels the brand into the future.

First revealed as a part of AURALEE’s Spring/Summer 2024 presentation during Paris Fashion Week, the Warped Runner (which isn't too dissimilar to the build of a YEEZY) appears to be an original New Balance design, and one that’s about as wavy and futuristic as we’ve seen from the brand.  

Featuring an immaculate blend of mesh and suede materials, the Warped Runner exhibits a sleek and uncluttered upper. What sets this New Balance creation apart is its distinct midsole, comprising two distinct pieces that leave us pondering whether they are made of foam, rubber, or perhaps a fusion of both. 

Contrary to its predecessors, this avant-garde sneaker embraces a minimalistic approach to branding. In contrast to the usual embroidery on the heel, tongue, and even the toe box found on most New Balance models, the Warped Runner takes a subtle approach, with a meshy "N" adorning the outer side of the shoe, leaving ample room for the innovative design to take centre stage.

New Balance confirmed to Highsnobiety.com that official release information will be shared “over the next few weeks,” so we expect these to drop in the near future.
