Nike & Inter Milan Unveil Air Max 97'

Nike & Inter Milan have come together once again to unveil the Nike Air Max 97, featuring the famous black and blue Inter colours.

The Air Max is arguably the mist beloved model in Italy and widely considered to be a global representative of Milan's subcultures.

Inter Milan said on their official website:

"The values of style and elegance that make Milan stand out are once again embodied and brought to the fore by the Inter brand, which is further establishing itself as a cultural as well as sporting icon, representing the style of Milan beyond the world of sport.

The Nike Air Max 97 in Inter colours is an iconic product for football fans and also for new generations who are passionate about international fashion as it spans the crossroads between football and lifestyle.

The iconic nature of the model is boosted further by a series of photographs involving first-team players Nicolò Barella, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez as well as Inter Women’s Flaminia Simonetti, Marta Pandini and Chiara Robustellini. The images took inspiration from the in-fashion style in the 1990s and 2000s, both in terms of outfits and analogue photography.

The boots will be available from 2nd May onwards at Aw Lab stores, while 200 pairs of the limited-edition “Friends&Family” version will be made with dedicated packaging, the Inter crest sewn on the tongue and internal personalisation for ambassadors of both brands."

It’s not the first time Inter have had a special version of the Air Max created for them in colours inspired by they club and their iconic kits, with the last time coming back in the 2020/21 season, as part of Nike's Air Max inspired UCL third shirts.

Inter face city rivals AC Milan later this month at the San Siro for a place in this season's UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul. It is the first time they have faced each other at this stage of the competition since 2003, where AC progressed to beat fellow Italians Juventus on penalties in the final at Old Trafford, Manchester.
