This Week's Sneaker Drops
We're set for another cracking week of launches in the sneaker world, take a closer look at what's dropping this week!
Air Jordan 3 Orewood Brown
Dark hues of brown can be spotted covering the elephant print panels, a feature that debuted on the cult favourite Air Jordan 3 “Mocha” which originally dropped in 2001. Recent editions such as the AJ3 “Winterised Archaeo Brown” and “Desert Elephant” from 2022 have also adopted the brown palette, a colour that remains highly sought after in the world of sneakers because of high-heat releases between Travis Scott and Jordan Brand. The majority of the upper is based in tumbled white leather, a detail that grounds the pair in its original ‘80s DNA. A sail midsole is coupled with a beige suede around the ankle collar and tongue, ticking off another sneakerhead must-have in 2023. On the rear, a Jumpman logo is embossed onto the plastic heel support, moving away from the Nike Air that most sneakerheads prefer to see.

Nike Dunk Low Black Grey Green Strike
This low-cut Dunk sports an elegant mix of grey, black, “Green Strike”, and white hues. The shoe swaps out the usual “colourless” white smooth leather base with grey suede. The overlays on the toe cap, mudguard, eye stay panel, and foxing are in grainy black leather. The signature profile Swooshes on both the medial and lateral quarter panels also follow suit. Key features of the shoe include neon green accents, particularly the mini Swooshes on the lateral sides, the tongue labels, the insole branding, and “NIKE '' text branding embroidery adorning the heels. A white midsole and a black rubber outsole cap off the design of this sneaker.

Nike Dunk Low Twist Jade Ice
Nike’s new Twist update hits the shelves in 2023, bringing a whole new energy to the Dunk Low. As other brands beef up the profiles on their archival silhouettes, the Swoosh thought it best to match the chunky aesthetic on its most hyped silhouette, the Dunk. The new Twist versions will definitely have you doing a double take, making sure that what you just scrolled past or walked by on the streets wasn’t any ordinary Nike Dunk. Similar to the UNC-inspired make-ups of the past, the “Jade Ice” colourway is doused in an icy light blue!

Air Jordan 1 Mid GS UNC to Chicago
The Jordan Brand’s Peter Moore-designed Air Jordan 1 has a new iteration that tells the story of Michael Jordan’s journey from the University of North Carolina to the Chicago Bulls. Presenting the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS UNC to Chicago.
The forefoot is UNC-inspired University Blue suede with a Metallic Gold elephant print finish. The heel counter, on the other hand, is University Red suede, hinting at the “Chicago” part of Jordan’s journey. It has the same treatment as the toe cap, showing off a Metallic Gold elephant print finish. The collar is a metallic colour matching the metallic bronze profile Swooshes on both sides of the shoe. The plush sock liner and insole are University Red while the Jumpman logo on the insole is University Blue. Instead of Jumpman logos, the tongues feature Michael Jordan’s profile silhouette. A white midsole and an icy semi-translucent outsole that reflects the blue and red construction underneath finish off the design of this sneaker.
